Please briefly state your reason for wanting to work toward a Ph.D. in Chemistry and your career goals. (Limit 200 words)

For those who fill out the application completely, Tulane’s Chemistry department will review the submitted information and inform the applicant within a few weeks of that their application has been placed in one of three categories:

  1. conditional acceptance (the student will be officially accepted once official letters of recommendation and transcripts have been received.)
  2. likely acceptance (the students will be accepted into the program if official letters of recommendation and transcripts strongly support the students qualifications.)
  3. not likely to be accepted (the student is unlikely to be accepted, unless the letters of recommendation and other supporting documents speak highly of the student’s qualifications or account for circumstances leading to poor performance.)
